I use my regular soprano mouthpiece on my C clarinet. I may favour one
reed over another for the c as compared to my Bb-A set. But I have not
had any alterations done to the mouthpiece I use on the C. The only time
I have encountered a mouthpiece modification was a slight shortening of
the overall length of the mouthpiece to bring some C clarinets up to
pitch. But my instrument uses the standard. I play regularly with the
faculty wind quintet here at UK and get a chance to make use of the C
for some of the Reicha quintets. It is quite wonderful. The sound
--to me--is quite firm and very "alert". Hope that helps.
