Just forward the offending message in question to the address:

postmaster@-----.com

where you replace whatever.com with the network address of the
original spammer (such as aol.com). Be very polite when you send it,
since you are basically depending on the postmaster to boot the
spammer of his own sense of fair play. Here's the little template I
use for sending such complaint messages to postmasters:

To: postmaster@-----.com <<-- replace with appropriate address
Subject: Spam post

Dear sir/madam:
The following message recently appeared on an inappropriate mailing
list (klarinet). As many members of the list (including myself) use
slow-rate modems to download the messages, these large messages greatly
slow us down. I and the other list members would appreciate it if you
could attempt to stop such mailings in the future. Thanks very much.

Then I include the message. Sometimes, it may be worthwhile to just
send this little note with an additional comment about how the spam
was 1,400 lines long (the length of the recent magazine spam that
showed up *twice* in my mail today). May help with goodwill from the
postmaster (see above). BTW, I have dutifully forwarded both these
spams to postmaster@-----.com, respectively,
and I suggest others do so too.

Gary
