Greetings-

I wrote Tiffani directly, but I think this might be good info for everyone.

Here is an exercise that a student mine obtained from a Physical Therapist.

Put your hands together like you are praying and push your elbows, and
hands away from you. The purpose of this exercise is that it stretches the
muscles behind the wrists. The student who worked with this exercise lost
his pain and within 2 months.

Also, although I am now in Mississippi I lived in Chicago for several
years. Dr. Elizabeth (?) Brandfordbrenner is a specialist in the medical
needs of musicians. She is located at the Chicago Rehabilitation Institute
in downtown Chicago. To say she is amazing is an understatement. Certainly
worth seeing if you have an acute problem. I went to her for a locking jaw
problem. A very good friend of mine, also a clarinetist, sought Dr.
Brendfordbrenner's advise wtih regards to her double jointed right thumb
and pain in her wrist. In addition to different exercises, Dr. 'B'
recommended the use of the neck strap as well.

Hope this helps.
