I feel like that about Kari Kriikku on the clarinet. There are
performers I've loved to listen to over the years, but no-one quite
takes my breath away like he does, both in the classic repertoire and
in the modern stuff (he played a new BBC commission at this year's
Proms -- weird, but totally wonderful).
