I have my students get a replacement moveable thumb-rest and have the repairman
put it on for them. Most of the clarinets my students play (RECITAL or
10G or 10S-II) come equipped. Those who don't can order a duplicate of the
Selmer (Paris) thumb-rest from Selmer in Elkhart. They come in a variety
of finishes and retail for about $36.00 each. This has been a real fine
thing for us.
