My thanks to all for the info on clarinets of different pitch. I think I will
start looking for a C for those Ellington evenings - :-)

A couple of months ago, whilst in Melbourne, Aust, I saw, in a musical
instrument store front, two metal clarinets - " Low G - perfect for Turkish
music" (read the tag). They were straight, about 50% or so longer than a
regular Bb.

Related to the G Bassett Tom Izzo mentioned?
