Hello all you wonderful clarinet-loving people. I've been lurking for a
month or two and I finally have something to say on this great forum. As
it seems to be custom on this listserv, I'll first introduce myself.

My name is Marshall Mentz and I'm a junior at Goucher College (Baltimore
Maryland). My major is Arts Administration and I hope to go into
Orchestra Management as a career. I play clarinet in and also manage
the Goucher Chamber Symphony. (Our first concert is Oct 11 if you're in
the area) I've been playing clarinet since the fifth grade and have been
taking lessons from Fred Jacobowitz for about 8 years. Some of you might
know him. :-) Enough about me; onto my request.

In my Chamber Music Seminar class, I have been paired with a flute and
piano to play a piece by Florent Schmitt called "Sonatine En Trio Opus
85". I have searched high and low for a recording and have been unable
to find one. So I turn to you good people of the Net to help me try to
obtain a recording of this piece. I'll pay shipping and cost of the tape
if that's what it takes. (BTW, I've tried all the music stores and the
Opus catalogues and the like.) You can e-mail me directly at:

And now for the joke. You've never heard this one because I just made it
up a couple of days ago.
How many clarinetists does it take to change a lightbulb?
Just one, but once the bulb is in s/he complains it is either too bright
or too dark. Bada bing! Oh well, I tried. Thanks for your help in
advance.
