I am looking for information on the above 3 topics. Can
anyone help with the following?:
1. Octocontrabass Clarinet. This was manufactured by leblanc
and Co. in the seventies (70s). Does anyone know anyone
who owns one. Has anyone ever heard one performed? Does
anyone know of any compositions using one? Does anyone
know of any recordings (either private or commercial)
featuring this instrument?
2. A Flat Clarinet. Does anyone know of any recordings
(private or commercial) featuring this instrument,
preferably in a solo capacity?
3. Octave Clarinets in A, B Flat or C. Does anyone know any
locations, museum or private, of any such instruments (I
think their manufacture - which was rare - was confined
to the 19th century) of of any illustrations in book or
periodical of any?
All the above are related to private study and research and any
copyright or privacy will be respected.
Thanks in advance for any help.
