From: OLIVER SEELY <oliver@-----.EDU> Subj: A MIDI file for your perusal (really!) Date: Thu, 28 Sep 1995 20:32:01 -0400
Sorry about that last blank message.
For the purpose of seeing if the file I've uploaded is going to
work for you, I've installed a midi file of the K411 quintet
in my subdirectory [anonymous.music]. I'd like to know if
any of you can download it and actually work with it using your
MIDI synthesizers.
Here is what you do:
At your home prompt, type
ftp dhvx20.csudh.edu <enter>
When you get the Name: prompt, type anonymous <enter>
When asked for your password, use your e-mail name
When you get the ftp> prompt, type
cd music
When you find yourself in the music subdirectory, type
dir <enter>
There ought to be an indication that k411.mid;1 is sitting
there.
At the ftp> prompt, type
binary <enter> in order to make sure that the file will be
sent to you in an uncorrupted format.
Then type
get <enter>
At the remote file: prompt, type k411.mid;1 <enter>
At the local file prompt, type anything you want.
Let me know if you can use it with your midi synthesizer.
