Okay folks, since the work was brought up the other day, my interest has
been re-piqued to pull out the Stravinsky Three Pieces and to ponder them
one more time!... Thing is, is that I've never actually 'had a lesson' on
them and find them a little intimidating to look at... Can folks out there
in cyber-klarinet-land provide suggestions on how to "approach" the Three
Pieces??? - I guess what I'm looking for, is a clarinet lesson by
internet... [and whether folks realize it or not, there are lots of us
here who _are_ getting lessons by internet through this list!]

I guess the easy start is to examine all th' notes and all th' rhythms, but
beyond that... Do you recommend listening to a recording first - I have
heard the pieces played in masterclasses, so have a sense of the shape of
the works but... [BTW, the accidentals are bad enough to look at that I
can't possibly imagine playing them on anything but the clarinet called for
in the original!]

{I was also reminded to pull out the Victor Polatchek study based on the
Prokofiev Hebrew Themes - very fun!}

thanks for advice!
