Well, Aside from the Clarinet concerto, and that is a wonderful work for
our instrument, there is a trio for Clarinet, Flute and Soprano. The title is
"As It Fell Upon A Day" and it is published by Boosey & Hawkes. The work is a
one Mvnt piece that opens with a very interesting clarinet line (the Quarter =
116) This is a very angular melody and is soon met with the flute's line. It
has lots of tempi change and will be a work out just getting the many slight
changes just right. It is a fine piece for the trio and works well in recital.
