Chris Zello asks if I am dead. I don't think so, but it is possible.

Those facts that lead to a no conclusion include the fact that I
saw and heard Stolzman on TV a few nights ago play the Copland concerto
with the London Symphony conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas (ask me about
his grandfather sometime), and I enjoyed it ever so much.

Those facts that lead to a yes conclusion includo the fact that I have
sold a bunch of my clarinets and no longer play.

But my non posting has to do with the fact that none of the topics on
the KLARINET are those that particularly interest me. That does not
mean that they are bad topics. Not at all. And I am pleased to see
such healthy responses from people who are more interested in these
things than I. For example, reeds, mouthpieces, mechanical things.

But post something on basset horns or Mozart or dark sounds or statements
that brand x is the only clarinet that should be used by a thinking
player and you'll see me.

Until then, I am studying my naval while I prepare my entire collection
of clarinet music for donation to the Clarinet archives. That's a lot
of stuff folks.
