Merry,
You since tyour post came in my mailbox I assume you are
expecting to get replies from the list subscribers, so... You don't say
how old you are or what your level of expertise is but I HIGHLY recommend
a chamber music camp (the only one I know of which does ONLY chamber
music and also takes winds and vocalists) called Apple Hill Center For
Chamber Music in East Sullivan, New Hampshire (in the White Mountains).
the music making is intense, rewarding and you get coached by people
whose first love is chamber music, not orchestral exerpts. It is run by
the Apple Hill Chamber Players, who do international tours and have a
program of bringing together students from Israel, Egypt, Syria, Jordan,
etc. to play together. And, of course, it is open to all who have enough
chops to play at least the simplest chamber music. Write them at PO Box
217 East Sullivan, NH 03445-0217.
