My double high "d" fingering is an overblown third reg. c#. It's a very
stable high d and can be tounged. A fingering that I can only achieve
via slurring from c or c# is the left hand thumb and reg.+ middle finger
+the r/h e-flat key (in other words, an overblown high f#). Either
fingering will work well on the A clarinet for the Ginastera, BTW. Hope
