Subj: Jazz Ensemble new jazzer

A few weeks ago i posted something about my ear taking over reading
written music, playing back what i hear, and taking off on my own part
as a problem. Someone resopnded by saying to me "Get your self into a
jazz band" I dont know who you are because at the time i laughed it
off. not me in a jazz band, im not that good. I found a jazz ensemble
at the community college that i attend, today i sat in on a rehersal,
and i am afraid that now i am hooked! this is a for credit class.
they had a drummer,bass guitar, electric guitar, sax and now a Clarinet
"Me". Funny thing is, i have never really enjoyed listening to this
kind of music but it is great fun to play. I think i will learn to
like hearing it io now. We play from fake sheets, which is also a
whole new world for me. Any advice for a new jazzer? You can E-mail
