A few weeks ago I posted something about my problem of relying on my
ear too much, and playing what i hear and even going off on my own
part, someone responded by telling me to "Get your self in to a jazz
band" I dont know who you are because at first I laughed it off, but
then i found a jazz ensemble at the community college that i attend.
Today i sat in on a rehersal, and i am afraid I am hooked. It is a for
credit class, learning to play from a fake sheet is a whole new world
for me. There was drum, bass guitar, electric guitar, sax and now a
clarinet. "Me". Its a funny thing, i dont really enjoy listening to
this kind of music but it is really fun to play. I think i can learn
to like to hear it to. Any advice for a new jazzer? you can E-mail me
