Has anyone out there tried the "GAIA" reed from glotin of France? It
is a thicker blank reed--and according to the insert in one of my boxes
3 sub-strengths are within a strength (number): eg A box of No3 contains
3soft, 4medium, and 3 hard "sub-strengths" per box of No. 3. The say
that reeds can be furnished as 10 s No 3, (soft) or medium or hard
rather than assorted. I know this is a bit confusing but that is what
they say. The onesI have played worked out quite well. They are going
to replace one of the current Glotin cuts.
