Michael,

The piece was originally written for a Finnish player named Kari Krikku. It is
a recent work, I think dating from 1993 if memory serves. The world premier
recording was done by Kari on the Ondine label. It's a wonderful piece and a
welcome adition to our repertoire. The other pieces on the disc are Tienssu's
concerto, and Debussy Rhapsodie with orchestra. It's a worth while investment.

Enjoy,
Michael Norsworthy
