Any one on this list could go on forever on this topic. And many of them
have. I suggest a search of the archives.

One small tip I've picked up that might be worth two sentences: I buy
Vandoren #5 reeds and shave them down until they play at about 3 to 3.5.
I was told once that the thicker reeds have a stronger heart. A lot of
reed lore is nonsense, but I've gotten better results doing this. And now
I probably won't be able to get #5s anymore.
