Allow me to recommend "Solos for Unaccompanied Clarinet: An Annotated
Bibliography of Published Works" by James Gillespie (who publishes "The
Clarinet"). It is available from Shall-u-mo Publications.
The Sutermeister is listed with commentaru too long for me to type at
this hour (or perhaps any hour, given my typing!), but it does include
the following:
"The work is discussed in the Lyle Merriman dissertation, 'Solos
for Unaccompanied Woodwind Instruments..." (pp.87-90)"
I presume this dissertation is available from University Microfilms.
There is also an annotated bibliography of works for reed trio by JG,
available from Shall-u-mo.
