Regarding using software in the classroom. For my Eartraining and Sightsinging
Class I am required to use the companion software to the Benward/Carr books
that we use. The software covers area like intervals, dictation, harmonics,
and rhythm. The software will dictate a lesson and we are supposed to write
it in our workbooks. After each exercise it gives you a chance to correct
mistakes and/or see the answer and move on. We also have some Hypercard
software that our professor designed that tested scale and chord recognition
among other things, and improves the speed
f that recognotion. The name
of the professor here at Stetson who sees over all this is Janis Kindred. She
would probably be happy to send info out to anyone. If you would like to
contact her e-mail me at: KURITZKY@-----.EDU
