I use the same barrel (Buffet Moening) on both my Bb and A. My clarinets are
about the same age, but the A I got used (from a major symph), so the Moenig
helped a lot to increase the blowing resistance to be more similar to my Bb.
Also, it helped its intonation very much (it was flat with the barrel it
came with).
