I use SongWright (SongWright Software, 7 Lourdin Street S.E., Leesburg, VA
22075; phone 703 777-7232). It's easy to use. You enter notes with the
keyboard (A#8_ would enter an A# eighth note that was slurred to the next
note) or use a keyboard that has a MIDI connection. The keyboard can be used
to just enter the notes. It can also actually enter the tune real-time while
you play it, though doing it this way is not as easy as it sounds because it
requires you to play fairly precisely on the beat.

It prints beautiful copy on either dot matrix or laser printers, and will do
all of the things you mentioned in your message, plus much more. For
example, it will play the music you've entered on your keyboard or on a
sound card so that you can listen to it to check it.

When I bought it several years ago, it was in the $100 range. I don't think
the price has significantly increased in price since then, because the
version upgrades are always like $30 or so.
