I recommend "NoteWorthy" for writing music. It's shareware. Costs $39 to
register. Works under Windows.

You can download it from the Internet to try it out. I forgot where I got
it, but you can locate it with one of the Internet search engines. I used
Webcrawler and put in "music and software".
