i have a question which is a little off-topic, so, apologies to all who
might not want to read this. i'm thinking about getting a new computer
(computers similar to my present model have been found encased in amber
in africa's rift valley) and i'd like to know more about the music software
that people in klarinet-land are using. i don't think finale is for me
... daunting learning curve, too hard to manage, etc. , but i need
something that i can enter notes from a synth keyboard, transpose entered
in pieces, combine text with music, and make arrangements with up to 5
staves, and looks nice when it's printed on a decent printer. plus other
features that haven't occurred to me yet.
ease of use is a big plus. does anyone out there have any favorites?
i'd love to know more about this.

thanks
