You know, I think the best way to decide whether to work them up or not is to
go to a local music library and listen to them. Most major universitites
have them, and you can check the LP or CD out and listen to it right there in
the library.

I know it's expensive to go out and buy all that music, so that is the least
expensive way I can think of to get a feel for each piece. I think other
subscribers will agree that music is very subjective. Play what YOU like!!

Personally, I like Arnold and Saint-Saens and Brahms.
