I'm going to take a stab in the dark & say either
1) The "students" have returned to their computers are summer vaccation
and/or
2) people have returned from summers off
and/or
3) could these people be "innocently/accidentally" posting to the wrong list?
Naaaaaaah!

Come on people let's knock off the spamming! Please!
