Dear Jay,

I also have suffered from this problem. I use an ORSI 21FS with a Pomarico
45 mouthpiece + vandoren 3 1/2 reeds and find the only was I can hit the F
without taking a run at it is to 'huff' it rather than toungue it.

Another way around this it to finger F with LH 1,2 + Reg Key and to lip it
down as it makes the F a quarter tone sharp.

But don't take my word for it - I'm also an amateur clarinettist.
