Subj: Klarinet Files - Help Needed
Date: Tue, 29 Aug 1995 23:48:52 -0400

I tried to send this on the 22nd and additional dates since, but it never
appeared in the Klarinet daily digest. Sorry if this is a repeat.

I have been slowly working my way through the files available of old Klarinet
messages. This worked well until I got to KLARINET LOG9409D. This came with
a message, "25K displayed" and indicated the complete file size and that it
could be downloaded as a file, if desired. The file, of the type
"fileklar.txt" was downloaded automatically with LOG 9409D, without being
requested.

When I tried to open fileklar.txt, it was preceded by a message, "Unable to
read the entire file. Only the first portion of the file will be read".
What was included was the same as LOG9409D, but badly formatted. I haven't
checked for the last word in each file to see if they were identical, but
they were essentially the same in length and content.

Questions

1. Can anyone suggest what I need to do to get the entire contents of the
file?

2. Any thoughts on how to get the file in better format? A small sample of
the file format follows, in case it would be of help in diagnosing the
problem:

Subject: STADLER - PART 6

Below follows the
final part of Poulin's paper. It is clear from its contents
that, at the
time she gave it, she had either not discovered the Riga program
with the
engraving of Stadler's basset clarinet, or else she was not prepared
to
report on it.

Any help would be appreciated -
