Ron,

I work talcum powder into the material on the inside of the ligature
about once a year, and this works for me. You may need to do it more
often, as I'm sure you play more often than I do. When I got my first
Rovner (can't remember whether it was for clarinet or sax) the notes
which came with it actually suggested this.
