With a teacher who's a pretty devout
believer in Gigliotti ligatures
(principally because Gigliotti was his
main if not only teacher) and being
frustrated with the screws stripping
from the Gigliottis, I was recently
reinforced with how satisfied I am with
my BG ligature when during my recent
afternoon at Muncy's Woodwinds with
Ricardo Morales I saw about six BG's
packed away with his pair of Leblancs.
(And in the privacy of our own homes,
away from the glossy adds, Ricardo
claims that he was playing and preferred
Leglancs long before they came to him
with any kind of a deal, i.e. he really
thinks its the best instrument for his
purposes.)
