Eric, I really can't speak for any situationexcept my own, but recently I
did arrangements of two works by JS Bach for clarinet and organ. One isthe
Bist du bei mir(If Thou Be Near); the other is a chorale prelude By the
waters of Babylon.
They both worked well...we did them in church in June. If you or anyone
else is interested in getting a copy, get in touch with me at the email
address below.
The chorale prelude mentioned above is, BTW written originally for
organ with a double pedal part. The new arrangement puts the top pedal
part in the LH of the manual and the cantus firmus, originally in the RH,
is now the clarinet part.
