I fairly recently played Flor Peters' Adagio, which is scored for
organ, the lead part of which uses 8' Crummhorn on the swell manual.
I took the lead on clarinet with the organist playing the rest. A
very beautiful, haunting piece that was perfect for playing in church.

We also played Amazing Grace, the first of "Two Preludes on American
Hymn Tunes" by Gilbert Martin, another piece written for solo organ
that came out sounding very good. If you're interested, here's how we
ended up doing it. I started by playing the theme ("Amazing Grace,
how sweet the sound" etc) unaccompanied. The organist then started in
with the written intro, at the end of which we played as written, with
me taking the top line. We then repeated the chorus, with the organ
playing as written and me playing an improvised obbligato. The key
shifted for the last chorus, where the organ and I traded off playing
the lead line. And so forth. I recommend it.
