Well, you might want to post this to the saxophone mailing list at

But on w/ your problem:

Emilio Lyons advises the following procedure:

1)Clean the edges of the tone holes with a q-tip soaked in WD40

2) Spray WD40 on one side of a clean sheet of paper, and holding the
pad closed, slide the paper, wet side towards the horn across the tone
hole.

3) Put a little Old English Lemon oil on a sheet of paper and do the
same thing with the wet side facing the pad.

In my experience this works for a while, but the pads will stick
again. The only long term solution I've found is to do a VERY thorough
cleaning of both pad (possibly repad) and tone hole.

My repairman tells me that most newer factory waterproofed pads tend
to stick no matter what. He says its the waterproofing treatment they
use. He apparantly orders his pads un-waterproofed and waterproofs
them himself.
