Barry,
If you are wanting to play Jazz, don't bother with the B45. It is
a very controlled-sounding mouthpiece with little flexibility. A while
beck, the standard doubler's mouthpiece was the Woodwind G8 or G8*, or
any of the Woodwind G series. These can do Jazz or legit. Another good
doubler's mouthpiece I've run across is the Morgan mouthpiece by Frank
Morgan. His ads can be seen in The Clarinet. I think he lives in either
Virginia, West Virginia or North Carolina. Borbecks also have a
reputation as being good doubler's mouthpieces. I played on one once
which I really liked and it certainly did it well. Good luck. There's
alot out there.
