I am currently enrolled in an Environmental Conservation class
and our term papers, due this Friday, are supposed to be in the form of a
mock research proposal.

Being the only music major in the class, I am
trying to get an angle on some research that would interest me and thus
far I have decided upon focussing on the shortage of the common clarinet
material which is an eminent member of the endangered species list.

If anyone has information concerning other research projects which have
included or focussed on the quest for an alternate, acoustically/tonally
equivalent or superior material for clarinet making
PLEASE mail the list or bcourtne@-----.edu
Thanks, BC
