Since your web page does not yet include any repair people in my immediate
area, I decided to jump in and send you the name of a good one in the
Washington, DC, area. He's actually in the Northern Virginia suburbs of
DC (as am I), but he has *many* customers from Virginia, the District, and
the Maryland suburbs. In fact, I understand that he worked on Gervase de
Peyer's clarinets recently.

His name is Tony Valenti, and he operates as
Valenti Woodwind Repair
8808 Cooper Road
Alexandria, VA 22309
(703)780-4322

A few weeks ago I walked into his shop with two armloads of cases. I
left my Buffet B-flat clarinet to repadded, and while I talked with him
he made some minor adjustments/repairs to my Buffet A clarinet,
Gemeinhardt flute, Gemeinhardt piccolo, and Selmer Mark VI alto sax.
When I when back just a few days later for my (1967 vintage) B-flat
clarinet, it played better than ever. He did a wonderful job and the
price was very reasonable.
