I couldn't resist passing this on...

A co-worker and I were walking through St. Louis' Strassenfest this
afternoon (one of several Municipal excuses to have a party in the
summer) when we heard a band from Germany playing.

As we got closer I remarked to my non-musician friend that the clarinets
were a different system than what is usually found in the states.

To which he replied, "Oh yes, they're metric aren't they?" :-)
