Dan Leeson recently posted a message about Jim Gillespie's
dissertation, but wasn't sure if it was J.G. -- well anyway, Karen
Perone (relation by marriage [I'm her husband]) did a two part
article in The Clarinet several years ago on clarinet-related
dissertations. Anyone interested in in finding out exactly who wrote
one on British clarinet music might look through Karen's bibliography.
