Suzanne Knosp has inquired about clarinet and piano works by 20th century
female composers. Katherine Hoover wrote a piece entitled "Ritual" for
clarinet and piano (1989), published by Papagena Press (phone 212-749-3012).
It is an eight minute work described as having a "mournful lyric section and
a fast, almost frenzied dance, based on Greek folk music materials." I have
not performed it, but it seems like a piece worth doing (this is based on one
reading session -- has anyone out there performed it?).
