My recollection is that when I was a student at Indiana University in the
mid-1960's, there was a dissertation written which consisted of an
annotated list of works for reed trio (oboe, clarinet and bassoon). I
think it may have been done by Jim Gillespie, who is or was for quite a
few years professor of clarinet at the University of North Texas in
Denton. I think your local University library might be able to borrow it
from IU through inter-library loan.

I remember clearly being surprised and impressed that the dissertation
listed several hundred works for this combination, perhaps the number was
600. Naturally, it would have to be updated to include works from the
past 25 or 30 years, but it will contain the standards.

Perhaps Dr. Gillespie is on this list, or will be at the clarinet
