Michael,
There have been some very excellent repertoire recommendations
for oboe, clarinet, and bassoon trios, some of which I have performed and
concur in. Of those, I am partial to the Trio by Georges Auric
(Editions de L'Oiseau-Lyre), which Floyd Williams suggested.
Other recommendations are as follows:
1. "Divertissement" by Jean Francaix (Schott);
2. "Trio" by Gordon Jacob (Musica Rara); and
3. "Six Inventions" by James Sclater.
Yes, item 3. was written by one of the Klarinet list's own resident
composers.
