Sure is a quite day on the klarinet list. Maybe I've been dropped
again. Hope everyone had a great 4th.

Tonight we were playing on the south balcony of the White House. We
played for the crowd for 'bout 2 hours before the fireworks started. We
were all tired and bit bored. Most of the band had already played a
concert that afternoon at Wolftrap. It was raining, pretty hard rain
actually. Then the most amazing thing happened. Then the sun came out
and a rainbow popped out over the city. Rainbows and fireworks all in one day!
Life is truly grand sometimes!

What did everyone do on the 4th? Or is everyone on the way to Arizona?
