I don't know who said this, and it could be a little off, but
bear with me and the gist is still there. :)
Something like:
"A man in India once wanted a couple of furry animals
knows as the mongoose for his home. He wrote, 'send me two
mongooses' to a friend. That didn't look right, so he tried,
'send me two mongeese'. That didn't look right either, so
finally he ended up writing, 'Send me a mongoose. And send me
another one, too.'"
