Unless you're using a very soft reed (which is likely not to be good for
intonation), the bass clarinet *can* take a lot more air pressure than you can
produce, unless you're the new Charles Atlas (before your time, probably).
Beware of trying to force the volume. If you can't be heard when you should be,
the others are playing too loud!
