"Try the Osborne Rhapsody, the Sutermeister Cappricio (for A), of course the
Stravinsky Three Pieces (A & Bb), the Persichetti Parable, and maybe even the
Abyss of the Birds from the Quartet for the End of Time by Berg (I think, but
don't quote me on it). Good Luck!

All good suggestions. BTW, the Abyss of the Birds is Olivier Messiaen (sic?)
from the Quartet for the End of Time - one of this centuries greatest chamber
works.

Here are some other suggestions:

Miklos Rozsa Sonatina Op 27
Tomasi, Sonatine Attique (Alphonse Leduc)

These are harder but worth working up:

Charles Whittenberg, Three Pieces for Clarinet Alone Op. 29 (McGinnis & Marx)
Donald Martino, A Set for Clarinet (McGinnis & Marx)
Shulamit Ran, For an Actor: Monologue for Clarinet (in A) (Theodore Presser
Co)

Some silly transcriptions but fun nonetheless:

J S Bach, Chaconne (The Ensemble Music Press)
J S Bach, Toccata and Fugue in D minor (Western International Music) You
might ask, "How does one play a fugue on an unaccompanied clarinet?" Good
question! I told you it was silly.
