Here's my $0.02----
Practice every day. If you already "know" the music
perfectly, find something harder to work on. My parents
insisted on getting their money's worth from the clarinet
they bought for me, so I practiced 30 minutes daily, whether
I wanted to or not! (I was excused from practicing on
Christmas once or twice, if I remember correctly). I ended
being a pretty good clarinet player, who now isn't as good
as before, because....I don't practice much!
