Keith,
I studied at MSU for three years, and worked a great deal with Robert Scott.
He did a lot of mouthpiece refacing for the saxophone and clarinet students
in the area, and people always spoke well of his work. If you would like his
address, it is:
Robert Scott Woodwind Repair
(517) 882 9098
2930 Sunderland
Lansing, MI
48910
Of course, the best way to get the best mouthpiece is to sit down with the
maker and work with them for hours until you get what you need. But, that is
not always possible. I know that RS sent many mouthpieces out through the
mail, so mabey he'd send you some to try. He is a wonderful person, and I
miss him since i've been gone.
Best of luck,
Richard Faria
