I can't argue with that. From my point of view, one won't really
practice unless one wants to. There have been times in my life when I
really didn't want to practice, and now, when it's difficult for me to
find the time, I want to! I will say that if I don't get some daily
practice in, and then I play a job, I can feel the lack of practice very
quickly, and I'm sure discerning members of the audience who have heard
me before can hear it. It's definitely a good idea to practice daily,
but motivation is very important. And I agree with Tom that it would be
a great shame if the obligation to practice daily took the fun out music
for Meghan.
