Forgive me for going on about mouthpieces, but all this discussion around
jazz sax mpcs made me wonder about clarinet jazz mpcs, especially since
I'm currently evaluating three and found very little in the Klarinet
archives. Currently I'm evaluating:

Vandoren 5JB Jazz
John Pierce Jazz
Bari Buddy DeFranco #2

I'm not very impressed with the Buddy DeFranco. Right now it's
between the JP Jazz and Vandoren, but so far the JP has a better
feel to it-- it conforms to my mouth and helps me bend notes nicely.
The big minus is that it tends to play throat tones somewhat short.
Adjusting my embouchre seems to help. The Vandoren doesn't go
sharp, but doesn't feel as nice either.

So, knowing that mouthpieces are a VERY subjective thing, any comments?
